I am she…………

Just like Eve…….

Like Eve I stumble, listened to the lies of the snake, and ate from the forbidden fruit. (Gen.3:1-3)

Just like the woman who wash His feet with her tears and wipe them with her hair…….

I am like the woman who experiences deep sorrow and regret because of her sin, and when I heard Jesus was at a certain house, I went there and wet His feet with my tears, wiped them with my hair and respectfully kissed His feet and anointed them with the perfume from an alabaster vial of perfume. (Luke 7:37)

I am just like the woman who carries the label of who and what I was.  (Luke 7:39)

Just like the woman they wanted to stone for her sin…….

It was me that Jesus was referring to when He said: “He who is without sin among you let him be the first to throw the first stone at her.” (John 8:7)

Just like Martha always busy…….

Like Martha, I was always busy looking after everyone and did not have the time to sit at Jesus’s feet. (Luke 10:41)

Just like Rebecca suffering for my child’s choices…….

Like Rebecca, I suffered because my child made the wrong choices. (Gen.26:34-35)

Just like the woman at the well…….

I am like the woman at the well that asked Jesus to give her from the living water so that I will never thirst again. (John 4:15)

Just like the woman in the crowd…….

It was me that endured much suffering at the hands of many physicians and was not helped, but instead got worse, then I touch the hem of His robe in the crowd to receive healing.  (Mark 5:25-34)

Just like Miriam…….

I am like Miriam that worships God singing hymns and praises to Him to glorify His Holy Name.  (Exodus 15:21) ,

Because I strayed from the truth and obtain the pardon of sin…….

I want to help others who strayed from the truth and help them to turn back to God.  (James 5:19-20)

My mission is…….

To leave a spiritual legacy behind of sincere and unqualified faith, surrendering my entire self to God in Christ with confident trust in His power, wisdom, and goodness.  (2 Timothy 1:3-5)

I found my new identity in Christ…….

I am the daughter of God Almighty (Genesis 35:11)

King of Glory, strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle (Psalms 24:8)

God Most High, Creator, and Possessor of heaven and earth (Genesis 14:19)

God in heaven who rules over all the kingdoms of the nations, power and might are in His hand, there is no one able to take a stand against Him (2 Chronicles 20:6)

The Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End (Revelation 22:13)

The same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8).

I will no longer be abandoned or desolate for the Lord delights Himself in me and my land will be owned and protected by Him (Isaiah 62:4)

He has inscribed a picture of me on the palms of His hands; my city walls are continually before Him (Isaiah 49:16)

When Jesus paid the price for my sins on the cross His last words were “it is finished!” (John 19:30)

I hold close His promise to me…….

Just like Maria I found my most precious possession in the time I spent with Him…….

I found my identity in Christ, won every battle, and learned every lesson by spending time with God, sitting at Jesus’s feet like Maria, and listening to His Words (Luke 10:39). 

That is so precious to me that I refuse to throw my pearls before the pigs, for they trample them under their feet and turn and tear me to pieces.  (Matthew 7:6)

Just like Esther…….

I am just like Esther who was made queen for a time like this to pray and fast for my people. (Esther 4:14)

Just like Dorcas…….

I am just like Dorcas a disciple of God who died and when Peter came he said to me: “Tabitha, arise!” (Acts 9:38-41)

I am Tabitha…….

My name is Tabitha, a disciple of God who was raised from the dead and I am now fulfilling the call on my life to tell others about Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Saviour.

I do not pretend to be perfect or the holiest of holies…

I used examples of Biblical women to give you insight into my life…

I’m not perfect, and neither do I claim to be the most perfect holy woman, wife, mother, or daughter.

I made some of the most heartbreaking mistakes anyone can make.

I wasn’t always a good mother and chose my work over my family and miserably failed to look after them and my household.

Ten years ago I had an affair and cheated on my loving husband, which I will regret until the day I die.

I sinned against God and hurt the Lord and so many people through my selfish acts.

Then I returned with so much grief and sorrow to the Lord and He slowly started to heal me and my marriage.

This is a terrible thing I did, but I know I received forgiveness from God and my loved ones and I will be disobedient against God if I will allow this past sin of mine to stand in the way of my calling.

After the affair ended I isolate myself because I was severely ashamed and depressed. Thereafter until this moment the Lord isolate me where I lived in places that I didn’t have contact with a lot of people.

For this and all the trails, I went through I thank God because, from it, my prayer ministry was born.

I’m not a pastor or any religious leader, I’m only a child of God. I realize that without God I won’t last very long and my love for God grew so much that I can’t imagine being without Him ever again.

My real name is Gerda van Breda and, that’s me in the picture. I’m the founder of Tabitha Blogs and, Tabitha Products (Pty) Ltd. and, also write under the name Tabitha.

I’m happily married to my wonderful husband Jacques. We have two beautiful daughters that are married and, therefore also gained two more beautiful sons and, two adorable grandsons. Also, we have a son of 15 and, four small dogs who don’t know yet they are not our natural children or even humans.
